Back in 1995, I chose to dedicate my life to leading groups, courses, training programs and workshops on transformation and change, leadership, stress-management, relationships and communication, consciously creating, entrepreneurship and creativity, meditation and neo-shamanism.
This might surprise you if you knew what I did in my “other life.”
Backed by a degree in electronics engineering and a Masters degree in business administration, I founded my own software company at the age of nineteen. The company specialized in educational and entertainment products and within a few years, became a leader in its market sector, developing unique products for some of the giants in the computer industry including Compaq and Packard Bell.
During these years I also lectured extensively about hi-tech, entrepreneurship and creativity in high schools and business schools.
In a nutshell, I felt I had it all. Money, travel, prestige and… an enormous ego coupled with a pretty arrogant attitude.
Then, one evening, in a luxury hotel room in California , I had a sudden experience of transformation. I saw myself for the first time —lonely and disillusioned at the ripe old age of twenty-five.
From that moment, I decided to work with people as a means of getting in touch with myself.
I studied western psychotherapy and bodywork as well as many eastern and shamanic meditation and healing techniques.
What fulfilled me more than anything was to study in-depth what worked for me so that I could teach my findings to others.
I'm a great believer in the group process and how it transforms limiting, old belief systems, especially since I repeatedly experience the speed and profundity of its positive outcome, in comparison to traditional psychotherapy, meditation practice or healing.
My journey of self-discovery continues to this day, and most likely I will follow this path for the rest of my life. It has led me all over the world and given me the opportunity to learn from some of the most powerful, wise and profound teachers on this planet. And it is this knowledge and experience that I pass on to you.
Together with my wife Vered, we've developed a wide-ranging selection of books, articles, newsletters and online courses so that we can reach, and therefore empower, more people than would be possible through an on-site group session. I try to make each one of these experiences as personal as it can be and welcome your feedback at all times.
After teaching, which is my greatest passion, I enjoy spending time with my wife Vered, our daughter Thom, and my friends. I also enjoy falling asleep in the garden on the few sunny days we have in Amsterdam ! And yes, I still work sometimes with computers, having designed, for example, this website that you're viewing right now.
